Tzu-I Chang (Joel Chang) is a Taiwanese industrial designer based in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in bridging design vision with engineering feasibility to drive complex hardware from concept to mass production.
Currently Principal Industrial Designer at Tron Future Tech (remote), he has successfully launched 8+ products across networking, defense products, and drone systems. His career began at Gemtek, where he rebuilt the in-house product design language and custom design for global telecom partners. He transitioned into the defense technology sector, refining brand identity and product design to strike a perfect balance between aesthetic distinction, engineering challenges, and reliable manufacturing.
Rooted in close collaboration with international clients, R&D, and Asian suppliers, he aligns user needs, product vision, and production constraints early on. He translates complex requirements into clear, memorable, Use-Friendly, and highly manufacturable solutions, bringing a strong foundation in DFM, UX, CMF, and brand identity, backed by extensive hands-on manufacturing experience.
